This is a hackish command line style tool to allow modification of some stuff inside of the save files. Note that this likely has many bugs and requires user testing. This opens save files in read only mode and will output a new file. I still recommend backing up saves.

For now, these are the values that can be modified:

  • Eyeliner Intensity & Color
  • Eye Shadow Intensity & Color
  • Under-Eye Color
  • Blush Intensity & Color
  • Lip Shine, Intensity & Color
  • Lip Liner Color
  • Under-Brow Intensity & Color
  • Eyebrow Color
  • Eyelash Color
  • Hair Color
  • Scalp Hair Color
  • Facial Hair Color
  • Inner & Outer Iris Color

Shape of the face and hair style is not modified at all. This may be added later if this tool actually works for most people.

Instructions:
- Drag and drop a DAS file onto das_editor.exe OR run from the command line.
- If file opens successfully, some basic info about the save will be printed, and then the menu. At this point you have 4 options:

1) Export values to file
- Creates a DASFACE file that stores the values from a save to a binary file.
2) Import values from file
- Imports values from a DASFACE file.
3) Manually edit all values
- This interactive mode lets you manually change every single value individually. It will print out the current value, and the min/max. Leaving it blank will keep the original value. This is useful for colors not included in the game, as well as having different lash/brow/hair colors.
4) Export XML files
- Finds all XML files embedded in the save and exports them to file. Note these XMLs are not indented properly, you will have to do that yourself.

If you have any issues or questions let me know in this thread. If there is anything you would like added, let me know. I will likely be updating this quite a bit as I find more stuff.

I updated the original post with a new program rather than making a new thread. Please test, criticize, whatever.

So cool, thank you for your hard work!
You may like to upload on Nexus to get more testers.

Really really cool!!

Question: to be able to figure out the colors I want to use, how to I transform the 4 diggit values of the R, G and B in a Photoshop friendly number? and Transform it back in a way that works for the game.

So Ive tested this out and well it works but can be quite finicky to actually get the game to recognize the save. I ran into 2 issues though, one was a random crash while launching (no error) and another was when importing a DASFACE file sometimes the script would output "error cannot read/import stat line" and would save the file. I didn't notice a pattern to when the error appeared. Otherwise the game sometimes didnt recognize the save/changes though when trying with a milestone/chap save it worked all the time. Do you think it would be possible to add class changes or is that not something we can do yet?

@LapisLazzuli: Looks like they are in percentage, you can either use Photoshop 32-bit mode colour picker or use an RGB to percentage converter to get the right values.
