Hair textures for followers are found in da3/designcontent/headmorphs/global/followers, under TextureParameters. HairCardDiffuse and HairCardNormal are the vars. As for the player stuff its all found in systems/charactercreation (the LogicPrefabBlueprint charactercreationlogic -> Which is the entire logic behind the character creator UI and such)

Not yet, coz we don't actually know how that information is stored, its stored differently to makeup and texture information.

You realize transparent equals invisible right?
If you mean to say you'd like it as a slightly lighter or darker 'film' over the skin in a colour close to the skin, you can already do this by hand through the colour picker in the CC.

First of all, huge thank you for this editor, it shows so much potential!

I've got a question though, inspired by the option to export the *.dasface thing - can't you make a complete face swapper?
I assume (might be wrong) that face data is stored in one chunk and not spread all around the file.
While those parts are analyzed which is for what would it be possible to make an exporter that blindly just cuts and replaces the whole part of the savegame responsible for face things?

That way we could just swap full faces from uploaded saves or re-create a character CC and just inject it into the old save without going into CLI details of editing sliders etc.

No, we don't know where the face data starts or ends, so we can only replace what we know.

That's a shame :( Then a more "typical" question - when can we expect a release that lets you change hairstyles? Or is that still far off as well?

Not sure, I haven't got time at the moment to pursue any savegame editor stuff, working round the clock to get the mod manager and tools out. After that then I will take a look and see.

Honestly way to busy to keep working on this, as people may have noticed. I'm sure a full blown save editor will be around soon enough and things like this will be used as reference.

On top of that, by the time I end up finding how everything works by manually searching save games, the next patch with the black emporium will be around the corner anyways.

For anyone who wants to try getting the hairstyles working, this is a good place to start:
post2148.html#p2148

Those 13 bytes always precede the face data and contain the hair model (as well as some other stuff) that I was never really able to figure out.
