@DawnlessSky:
Thx for you explanations/clarifications about the reason you don't want to support DLCs. I perfectly understand why you fear to support them. If you don't want to, so be it, but let me say that modding tools is definitly not needed to abuse game content (SP or MP), i'm sure you already know it. I also understand you don't want to give BW a reason to down the project of course. Why not allowing parsing/extraction of SP content only, maybe just textures files and ensure MP content will not be tainted ? (just an idea)

If MM team is working on compatibilities between mods and DLCs to avoid freezes/crashes and mods viability with DLCs (let's say for example the No Cole Hat mod to work with Trespasser DLC, which actually doesn't) then it's a very good news and both modders and users will be fully satisfied I suppose.

And like you said, other will most probably still do it in the end, permited or not, others modding tools will araise.

Keep the good work and have a nice day:)

I'll repeat one last fucking time.

We have been asked not to. It's as simple as that.
And YES there has been abuses. Don't you dare come in here and argue about this.

We have always worked in making sure DLCs work with mods. That's not news. We just can't allow people to extract DLC meshes and textures BECAUSE WE HAVE BEEN ASKED NOT TO.
Period. The end. Fini. On en parles plus!

All Bioware has to do to make me stop working on the tools is to ask.
So we're doing everything we can not to **** them off (even though people DO use the tools in ways that ALREADY pissed off Bioware not a week ago).
And it pissed ME off to the point I was just about to quit myself. USERS CANNOT BE TRUSTED.

We CANNOT allow people to export DLC assets. There WILL and HAS BEEN abuse of the tools.
I WILL NOT allow the extraction of DLC assets unless Bioware comes in here and say they're okay with that. Which they won't do because I've already asked.

PERIOD.

And since this is really beginning to **** me off, I'm locking this thread.

Not happy with our work? Find an other tool.
