hey, so, I've been attempting to mod Blackwall's hair, and I've run into a conundrum - is it actually possible to take a modded mesh (say, for example, i just moved some of his hair strands around or something) and then edit that modded mesh's tinting? i've changed npc hair tints successfully before, but they were on vanilla hairs. on a modded mesh, it doesn't seem to take. no matter what i do, the hair remains it's original color. the altered hex values appear correct when i load the modded mesh into the mod maker to recheck, so i know it's not reverting somehow, but no dice.

I would assume it's just not possible but I swear I saw a Leliana mod that managed to tweak her mesh and make her hair a truer red, so I'm wondering if I'm missing a step somewhere. Or maybe I just hallucinated that mod, lol.

Are you using version 17 for both the mesh importing and the ebx edits? If so, I would suggest making the hair mesh mod with 17, and the ebx tint edit with 19. I am suggesting this based on the current issues that version 17 has with ebx edits, and that 19 has with image edits. If 19 works just fine with mesh imports, then feel free to ignore.

You might try my suggestion anyway, to test. Make the color edit of his hair as one mod and load it into the game to see if it works with the default hair, then load a mod with the new hair and see if everything works together.
