This is probably a dumb question, but I'm new to 3DS and want to try and make some hair mods.

When I import my meshes into 3DS everything is white, and makes it difficult to tell where the hair is and where the head mesh is. Is there a way to change the color of a mesh to see more clearly? I try to change the object color, but it doesn't do anything.

1. Select the object/mesh;
2. Click Create (1), it should be on the right side of your screen;
3. Down the menu, there will be a header written Name and Color, just below it ther will be a little box (2) with a color on it (in your case it is probably white), click on it and choose the color mesh.

If even so its color doesn't change, do the following:

4. In the same line where you clicked "Create", now click Display (1) -- it's the little computer screen icon;
5. Where is written Shaded, select Object Color.

There, it should work. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

P.S.: You can change the mesh color direct on the "Display" menu, to do that you just need to select the colored box ("2" in the second image).
