Hi guys!

Patch 9 came out!
Yay!

So far, the ModMaker seems to take it well. It detected the change and recreated its cache as it should :)
The assets, as far as I know, preview well.

As for the ModManager, it seems there are a few issues.
If there are mods that worked for patch 8 but now do not because of patch 9, please send the .daimod files to me at [email protected].
If they were taken from the web (nexus, for example), send me their links too!
That way I'll know what to look for in game and be able to verify if the merge went well.

The more files I have to work with, the better I'll be able at detecting problems.
I'm counting on you :)

It is people like you who make these updates a little easier to take. Will let you know if I run into any issues. :0

Edit: :D Well so far all of my mods seem to be merging well with Patch 9.

Game started after patch installed. However it appeared that none of the mods were active. So I quit the game, ran the ModManager .53 with just Official Patch selected and got the following error. Deluxe content, Hakon and Black Emporium installed.
------------------
Task Failed. Error reported was: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

The progress bar is stalled on \Update\Patch\Data\Win32\da3\layouts\inquisitorbase2\mainbase\mainbase_dlc1.toc

------------------
"Repairing" the game didn't help.

Manually removed the Patch_ModManagerMerge folder from \DAI\Update folder and the game started and seemed to run fine (quick 30 second play).

Clues that the mods were not working after the patch: my Dalish Elf Female Skyhold Outfit (v.2 by Horography) and Sera_outfit_v1.3_patchwork (by Arxangel) were not there.

Hm. That is interesting: I tried a variety of troubleshooting steps and always came up with the above error. I quit ModManager (had not quit it while running all the tests), and voila.

However the game will not start now: doubling clicking shortcut, exe do not start the game, and I can't select play or repair in Origin.

Logging out/restarting computer didn't help.

Going to bed for now :-)

I haven't downloaded patch 9 yet, but I wanted to thank you sooo much for all the work you do with these mods.

Does anyone know if the Descent DLC breaks anything as well or is it considered part of Patch 9?

So far, it seems that players have to delete their merged files while playing Descent or get crashes. There's a thread about it on the BSN, but the workaround is to delete the merged file and use a text editor like Notepad to change the version in Update/package.mft to 11 instead of 10.

This only applies to the areas specific to Descent. Everywhere else, it's (moddable) Patch 9.

Edit: I'm sure that like when JoH came out, this is going to be a temporary situation and that the tools will be updated accordingly. I say this only because some players may want to do the DLC anyway. No pressure! Things take as long as they take and we're lucky to have the mod support we have. :)
